Computer issues

Most problems with your PC can be resolved with a reboot.
If you experience any of the following, rebooting may help:
  1. PC running slow
  2. Unable to print or unusual printing behavior
  3. Application/program not working properly
  4. Unable to access email
  5. Unexpected windows opening or popping up
  6. Any other unusual or unexpected behavior

To reboot your PC:
  1. Save all work and close all open applications.
  2. Click the start button (The windows icon in the lower left corner of your screen on your taskbar)
  3. Click the circular icon just above the start button (Power button)
  4. Click "Restart"
This will safely shut down and then power on your PC. At this point, log back in and see if the issue still exists.

If your PC is completely frozen and you are unable to perform the steps above, you may perform what is known as a "hard cycle."
WARNING: The following steps should only be taken if the pc is completely frozen and you have no way to restart using the steps above

To hard cycle a PC:
  1. Hold the power button on the PC until it turns off.
  2. Wait approximately 60 seconds
  3. Power the PC back on.
